Description: Horseshoe Bend National Military Park marks the spot where 800 Upper Creek Indians lost their lives defending their homelands against General Andrew Jackson's army in 1814. This tragic battle saw the loss of the most American Indian forces in a single battle in US history. The park offers exhibits explaining the battle as well as a hiking trail, and even musket demonstrations.

The site has exhibits, as well as historic films for visitors to enjoy. There are also weekend tours of one of the hangars where these brave men trained.

Description: The campgrounds at Wind Creek are the largest state run campgrounds in the United States. The campgrounds offer 626 sites spread throughout 300+ acres of the park. Camp sites come equipped with picnic tables, grills, and nearby water and bathhouses. There is also a centrally located park playground. The site also offers primitive tent, and even site horse camping sites. The park also offers seven cozy camping cabins that are available year round, and reservations are recommended.

Description: The Woods is a family owned and operated campground that offers 20/30/50 amp service, a big rig friendly environment, cable TV, WiFi, picnic tables, fire rings, bath houses, laundry, and a quick walk to many local restaurants. The Woods offers and on site lake with fishing (blue gill and bass), and boating for small boats. The park offers secluded primitive tent sites along the lake, as well as spacious RV sites.

Description: This Air Force Run FamCamp is located on the Lake Martin Reservoir, and includes hiking areas, picnic spots, water sports, boat rentals, marina, fishing pier, showers, beaches, swimming and various camping options. The park offers full service RV sites, primitive tent sites, and even some fully furnished chalet cabins. Reservations are highly encouraged as this camp fills up fast.
